Membership Availability
There are currently 7 Day Playing Memberships, Intermediate Memberships, Corporate Memberships and Junior Memberships available in addition to Social Membership. It should be noted that our maximum playing membership is 550 irrespective of membership category. Also, the Club maintains exclusive use of the course and golf facilities for its Members and their guests. There are limited prestigious and traditional events held at the Club which entail the use of the course for non-members but these are extremely rare.
Becoming A Member
As a Members' Club, there are certain procedures for becoming a Member, but initially all that is required is for you to complete an application form and submit such to the Club along with payment of the appropriate joining fee and pro-rata subscription - please note that the subscription year begins on October 1st and finishes on September 30th. Once these items are received you can begin to use the exclusive course and golf facilities along with those in the clubhouse.
Once your application form is received your name, along with those of your proposer and seconder, will be displayed in the Club for a period of 14 days to allow existing Members to make representations on your application. After this period you will be asked to attend an interview with the Membership Committee which acts as a representative body for the Club to assure existing Members of the suitability of potential new Members. Whilst there are not normally any issues raised at any of these procedural events, your membership remains subject to your being accepted as a new member by the Membership Committee who do reserve the right to reject your application; at which point, should it be necessary, your membership will cease and all monies paid will be returned to you in full.
Subscriptions & Joining Fees
The following subscriptions and joining fees are applicable for the 2009/2010 membership year.

All fees detailed above are inclusive of VAT.
Joint Membership will receive a 10% reduction on the above Seven Day Full Playing subscription and joining fee detailed.
Male Union Fees will be charged at an additional £7.50 per annum.
Female Union Fees will be charged at an additional £15.00 per annum.
On occasion, subject to written request, the joining fee may be paid over a three year period. Please note, if this is agreed by the Club the liability for payment of the joining fee in full will remain irrespective of whether you leave the Club prior to full payment of such.

Tour Of The Club
If you have not previously visited Vale Royal Abbey we would be extremely pleased to arrange a tour of the Course, Clubhouse, Grounds and facilities of the Club. Whilst it is a bold statement to make, we guarantee you will not feel disappointed by both the venue and the standard of the facilities. Play The Course
We would not expect potential Club members to join without sampling the facilities of the Club and therefore we will be very pleased to arrange a complimentary round of golf, at your convenience, which would be played with a Committee Member, or approved representative, of Vale Royal Abbey. The course is maintained in immaculate condition and remains, not only open, but in a fully playable condition throughout the year.
